Web site offers an early taste of DarienFest info

For those who are eager to get the inside scoop on the upcoming DarienFest activities, a Web site is available to provide all of the current information.

The Web site was designed by Pascoe Computer Services in Darien for the Darien Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the event.

"It's big, a lot of stuff's on there, It's our first Web site." Said DarienFest chairman and Chamber member, Julio Check.

The Web site's home page lists the basic information such as date and times. There's also a page listing the entertainment schedule – "Molly Hatchett will be there, and you can link up to their Web site on this page, " said Joy. There is also a page of food vendors that will be at the fest.

For those who would like to make a monetary donation, there is a page with contact information. "As the donations come in, their names will appear on the page, " said Joy, adding that another page for not-for-profit groups that will have booths at DarienFest will also list the organizations as they sign on to appear. Those groups interested in participating, will find contact information on that page.

"It's a fun way for people to get the information and interact a little bit," said Joy.  "We've had some people call and ask what bands will be playing, and this way they can just go to the site." A DarienFest map page is currently under design, according to Check, and will soon be available on the Web site.
